As the Corporate Controller, based in Stamford, CT, you will have a seat at the table ensuring the long-term health and success of the organization, as well as playing a vital role in continued growth by providing tactical and strategic financial leadership. This is a hands-on role with a broad set ofresponsibilities, and which will be working with a small staff initially reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.

Qualified candidates will need significant experience and demonstrated success leading and enhancing the accounting and finance operations for an organization with multiple locations. You will need strong analytical skills and an entrepreneurial passion for adding efficiency and contributing to the growth and profitability of Arccos.

 

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of financial management experience in a small to medium sized company
  • Experience with inventory accounting and offshore production
  • Experience with subscription accounting/ recurring revenue models ideal
  • Understanding of distribution channel sales and OEM contract partnerships
  • CPA is a plus

 

Responsibilities include:

General Accounting

  • Manage all accounting functions (general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable,
    collections, inventory, cash management) through monthly close
  • Accounting for revenue recognition and deferred revenue for all customer transactions
  • Monthly cost accounting and inventory reconciliations for worldwide locations
  • Processing and Accounting for customer returns and credits
  • Processing and Accounting for customer collections of product deliveries and end-user customer subscriptions
  • Coordinate with Sales teams on order management and fulfillment activities
  • In conjunction with Operations team, maintain detailed records of all PO’s and status and
    implement new authorization and approval guidelines for all vendor commitments
  • Evaluate general ledger systems and plan to upgrade from current system (QuickBooks)
  • Manage annual audit with external CPA firm

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Prepare annual operating plan, including all revenue, cost of goods sold and department
    spending budgets. This will include consolidated income statement, balance sheet, and cash
    flow statements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Measure variances to plan and communicate to senior management monthly
  • Along with Operations, prepare monthly actual and forecast of production and inventory
  • Capture order information and prepare financial projections based on customer delivery timing
  • In conjunction with Sales teams, prepare short, medium, and long-term financial projections of
    expected orders and deliveries to all partners and territories
  • Monitor channel inventory levels to ensure appropriate levels of stock held at partner locations
    and production schedule is aligned with channel inventory levels

Compliance

  • Annual income tax returns (federal and states) with outside tax firm
  • Sales tax for all required jurisdictions
  • Local tax filing (franchise, property)
  • Reporting to bank for compliance to loan agreements and audit requirements
  • Reporting to investors with periodic reporting requirements
  • Maintenance of equity records, such as capitalization tables, stock agreements, periodic 409a stock valuations
  • Measure variances to plan and communicate to senior management monthly
