The Opportunity

We are hiring a Staff Engineer or Senior Engineer as our first Platform Engineer. Arccos has grown significantly, and is investing in operational excellence for engineering and our products. We need an engineer to build and improve our CI/CD, observability, and other similar systems. We are using Claude Code throughout the company, and we want to expand AI use in development so we can prototype better and develop faster. Our core tech stack is AWS, Lambda, MySQL, and Snowflake. Our CI/CD includes GitHub Actions, Yarn, Vite, Cargo, Gradle, Maven, and Xcode Cloud.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with engineering leadership to prioritize project opportunities

  • Design solutions and recommend vendors

  • Pioneer use of new technologies

  • Integrate platforms

  • Train engineers to use solutions

  • Communicate standards for using development platforms

Example projects

  • Observability: choose vendor, partner with engineers to implement distributed logs and traces on a pilot project, train engineers to finish implementation.

  • Observability: design threshold-based alerting, implement for a few backend APIs, document standards, train engineers on standards to finish implementation.

  • AI enablement: set and drive common standards into repositories

  • AI enablement/security: dependency review on every PR

  • 8+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or similar

  • 4+ years experience with AWS

  • 2+ years experience with GitHub Actions

  • 2+ years experience with managing CI/CD pipelines with our build tools
