Sal Syed
Sal received his MBA from Yale where he was a Fellow at the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute. He has been a featured speaker at Yale University on Entrepreneurship and Leadership topics and belongs to the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).
In 2019, Sal was recognized as the top innovator in golf by the industry-leading publication Golf Inc. Magazine and was the opening keynote speaker at the annual Golf Inc. Summit.
Prior to Arccos, Sal worked at software startups for more than 10 years as a software engineer, engineering manager, product manager, and data architect.
Sal is a scratch golfer, a club champion and has notched six holes-in-one (five of which he credits to the power of Arccos). Sal is passionate about course architecture and is a Golf Digest panelist. At Ohio Wesleyan, he was captain of both the Men’s Varsity Tennis Team and the Cricket Team.
Founding Story
Sal Syed, the CEO of Arccos Golf, embarked on a journey to create an innovative product fueled by his passion for both golf and technology.
During his pursuit of an MBA at the Yale University School of Management, Sal crossed paths with co-founder Clinton Grusd. Together, they laid the foundation for the business, developing crucial concepts, plans, and strategies that now drive Arccos.
Joining forces with his childhood friend, Ammad Faisal, the trio recognized the absence of a high-performing, comprehensive tool in the golfing world to effectively track and analyze a golfer's game, ultimately enhancing decision-making on the course. Driven by this realization, they set out to revolutionize the way golf is approached and played.
Through the collaboration of brilliant minds, including PhDs, engineers, designers, and PGA Professionals, they successfully launched a groundbreaking product that is making waves in the golfing community: Arccos.
